It is also same reason, Human body have more density(1408 kg/m^3) than water (998 kg/m^3) so, without swim we can't float on the water.

when doing swimming water is replaced by body(use of ARCHIMEDES PRINCIPLE)then only body float while doing swimming.As our friend said that our body density is more than water that's why body is sink.
