4 rectangular columns carrying a big tank of a load 1000, directly over the footing.
it is like...
4 legs are like at 2 p.m, 4 p.m, 8 pm and 10 o clock position on a rectangular clock(footing)
Each column has now load/4= 250
footing is designed for full load 1000.
Now the issue is about 1 way shear.
all column are rectangular but aligned inclined with respect to any side of footing!!!
If i consider section at 'd' from face of column,
the punching shear area b0 X D is all different.
Give me some idea of how to deal with this 1 way shear??pls:)
